Low Rider Towing questions
Can you tow a car with a body kit or air suspension?
Yes. Body kits and bagged cars are the most common low clearance jobs we get. If the air system still works, raise the car to its highest setting before we arrive. If it does not, tell us the resting height so the driver brings the right ramps.
Will you use chains on my car?
No. Chains go through the wheels or hooks on the frame on a normal tow, but on a custom car that risks paint, powder coat, and underbody parts. We use soft straps over the tires and wheel nets, so nothing metal touches the body or the suspension.
What if the car is bottomed out and cannot move?
We can still load it. The driver will set the deck as flat as possible, place ramps under the front tires, and winch the car up slowly while watching the front lip. On soft ground we may put boards under the ramps. It takes longer than a normal tow, but it works.
